So May 30th is the Blackfoot Ultra, in which I am registered for the 50km distance. In the last couple of weeks I’ve endeavored to pick up my training, which was slow to start due to ski season (skiing took precedence on most weekends). Now, due to inconsistent race training, I’m a little concerned about how well race day is going to go. My last couple of training runs have felt quite good. However, I just haven’t been able to log the kind of mileage that is necessary to perform well at an ultra-distance race. I’m still going to run my ass off and I anticipate that I should be more than capable of finishing the race.
