Wide Open Vistas

Today I had a really fun and interesting experience in Kathmandu. Seth Wolpin gave me the opportunity to actually see where donations to Wide Open Vistas go.

First we visited the school where WOV is planning to build new bathrooms for the kids. After, we visited with a couple of girls who are being sponsored by WOV’s donors, which means their education is paid for, plus they have a chance at attending some empowering programs. It was really great to see all of this firsthand!

Please be reminded that I’m still collecting donations to Wide Open Vistas as a part of my Great Himalaya Trail adventures. I can attest that this non-profit is doing great work, and will put your money to good use. Support me by giving to WOV! Click here for my campaign.

The dilapidated toilets that need replacement. Currently these 6 stalls are used by ~750 students, and drain directly into the river. The new bathrooms will have a proper septic system.
